FGU evaluates historical gas usage, weather conditions, accumulated monthly imbalances, and member-provided anticipated changes in fuel requirements on a daily basis to forecast consumption and make appropriate nominations to minimize pipeline imbalances and the likelihood of incurring non-compliance penalties on transporting pipelines. These efforts, combined with the inherent benefits of imbalance aggregation, have enabled FGU's members to avoid FGT Alert Day penalties.
