FGU assists in control and limitation of the risks facing the members due to exposure to changes in natural gas prices. FGU affords its members the opportunity to manage these risks by hedging with financial instruments or with pre-purchases of physical gas.

A primary component of FGU's supply portfolio, the Gas Supply Acquisition Project ("GSAP") 1, provides project participants a significant reduction in price and reliability risk.
